Questions

The ones worth asking before you put a script on your site.

What counts as an event?

One accepted tracking request: a page view, a session start, a custom event or a conversion. Requests for a path you have excluded are dropped and never counted. Web vitals are never counted: five fire per page view, so charging for them would inflate every bill by roughly half for a number you cannot see.

Do I need a cookie banner?

Not for analytics. Ninelytics is cookie-free by default and stores nothing on a visitor's device, so there is nothing to ask consent for. Consent management ships in the same script if you need it for anything else on your site.

What happens when I hit my plan's limit?

Collection carries on for a further seven days and your dashboard stays open, so a good month is never a lost month. After that grace period collection stops until the plan changes. Nothing is deleted: your data is kept for 90 days even on an inactive account.

Can I import my history from Google Analytics?

Yes. Connect a Google account and link a GA4 property to a site, and its history is shown next to the traffic we collect ourselves. Search Console works the same way, so search performance sits beside the sessions it produced.

Is there a free trial?

Every plan starts with a 7-day trial and no card. There is also a free plan with 10,000 events a month if you would rather not decide yet.

Will it slow my site down?

The script is under 10kb gzipped, loads deferred and uses native browser APIs with no extra libraries. Core Web Vitals are measured from real visits rather than a lab, so what you see is what your visitors got.

Can I exclude my own team's traffic?

Yes. Add path patterns like /admin/* or /staff/* in a site's settings. Matching requests are dropped before anything is stored, before they reach the live view, and before they are counted against your plan.

Whose data is it?

Yours. We do not sell it, do not share it between customers, and do not build a profile of anyone across sites. Export it whenever you like; deleting a site deletes what belongs to it.
